The final day of Pongal is Kaanum Pongal. We used to meet our friends and relatives on this day. We cook different foods and share with neighborhoods. Jallikattu, the tradition of Tamils was conducted on this day. It shows the bravery of Tamil people.

Today the Third day of Pongal, we celebrate Maatu Pongal to honor cows and bulls which are the sources for Agriculture. Cows are lords in Hindu Religion. Lord Nandhi was prayed. On this day we bath cows and spray color powders on them. Garland is tied in the neck of the cows. We offer Pongal to cows. This is a very special day for farmers and especially for cows.

Today we celebrate Sun Pongal by preparing Pongal before the Sun arises. We celebrate this Pongal to honor and in the way of thank lord Sun who helps for Agriculture.

Bogi celebration
Today we celebrate Bogi in our home by burning old things. It means everyone should burn their bad thoughts and deeds and have to implant good thoughts.
Traditionally it was followed by our ancestors. On this day we pray lord Mariyamman by offering food and some snacks.
We tie a tag in hand as the starting day of Pongal. On the fourth day we untie it.
It brings happiness to every Tamil people.

Pongal celebration
Today we celebrate the pongal festival in our college. Both first and second years took part in carry out the work. When the pongal surge out everyone shouted as ''Pongalo Pongal''. Everybody feels happy in this auspicious occasion. We remember our last year pongal celebration with our seniors.

Satire
Today I learnt about Satire in major class.
The use of satire in literature refers to the practice of making fun of a human weakness or character flaw. The use of satire is often inclusive of a need or decision of correcting or bettering the character that is on the receiving end of the satire. In general, even though satire might be humorous and may “make fun”, its purpose is not to entertain and amuse but actually to derive a reaction of contempt from the reader.
