Today we celebrate Bogi in our home by burning old things. It means everyone should burn their bad thoughts and deeds and have to implant good thoughts.
Traditionally it was followed by our ancestors. On this day we pray lord Mariyamman by offering food and some snacks.
We tie a tag in hand as the starting day of Pongal. On the fourth day we untie it.
It brings happiness to every Tamil people.
